What’s the big deal about a game that teaches healthy eating habits, the names of fruits and vegetables – and all while kids have fun? Well, I think the answer is in there somewhere!

Go Go Mongo is targeted to the youngest iPod / iPad / iPhone users and is super easy to understand even for the toddler set – although the iPad’s size might be an issue for some. Just tilt the device and Mongo will eat food that falls from the sky. Yes, he loves a juicy grape or crunchy apple, but just say no the the falling cupcakes and cookies as they will make him turn purple and you won’t pass the level.

Mongo – the character – is a cute little monster and I just love his happy little face when he’s had something healthy to eat. However – by the looks of things, Mongo has also eaten his fair share of cupcakes and cookies too!

One of the nicest things about the app is the simplicity of controls – just tilt and go. Also, the speed at which Mongo moves is perfect – while it seems like a small thing, in other games too fast or too slow controls can be very frustrating. Although, Go Go Mongo is a wonderful app I feel that there could be more in the way of rewards and levels as it could get repetitive for more “seasoned” toddlers.

Finally, don’t forget to visit the Go Go Mongo website for fun healthy ideas for kids!

Bottom-line:

A fun, easy game for toddlers that inspires healthy eating habits. Adorable! Mongo is a goofy little character that loves to eat. He loves junk food like cookies, cakes, and donuts, but when he eats too much of it, he gets sick! Help Mongo eat better foods like fruits and vegetables by tilting the iPhone/iPod Touch to have Mongo run left to right as yummy food falls from the sky!

There are 4 fun landscapes and 40 exciting levels filled with fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meats. Children learn about healthy eating by teaching Mongo how to eat better. The game is designed with simplicity in mind. Kids as old as 2 years old can play and enjoy Mongo’s zany antics.
