Another wonderful app brought to us by Fairlady Media, Grandma’s Preschool is the latest installment of their educational apps series for children. With Grandma’s Preschool, children can learn through touch, play and exploration. The app is recommended for children ages 3 through 6 years old, and could be a great way to get a head start on school! My four year old son loved playing this app, it is the perfect speed for him.
The Grandma’s Preschool app features a digital classroom with various interactive games, challenges, puzzles and problems to solve. Let the funny dancing Grandma guide your child through a series of activities and games as they learn all sorts of important pre-K skills. Some of the educational games included are as follows: Puzzles – where does this piece go?, Science – learn about growing plants from seeds, Color Train – which block goes on the green car?, Guinea Pig Maze – help him find the food…and many more! I really loved the variety of activities in this app, lots of fun things to keep young minds learning.
In addition to the broad curriculum of basic skills education, Grandma’s Preschool also introduces children to the school environment – including expectations, roles and routines. There are even games to introduce ideas, such as: Snack time – pass out the snacks, or Nap time – shh, time to be quiet. I thought that this was a great idea to help children prepare for what a typical school day might be like. I also loved the educational videos that accompany the topics, these are great for kids who are visual learners.
I really enjoyed the Grandma’s Preschool app. I would definitely recommend this app to the parents of preschoolers. I will be playing this app more with my 4 year old son for sure, he loves it. He also really loves Grandpa’s Workshop, also by Fairlady Media!
