Arcade

When was the last time you went to an arcade? Many of today’s arcades are indoor fun factories that include options such as laser tag, batting cages, and mini golf. Make a day of it with your family…fun is pretty much guaranteed, as there’s something for just about everyone at such facilities.

Pizza Party

Who says you have to leave the house to have a great time? Plan a family pizza party everyone will be talking about for the next few weeks. Make your own pies if you’re feeling particularly ambitious, or order several pizzas so everyone has plenty to select from. Think one classic plain cheese pizza, as well as a white pizza, veggie pizza, “meat lover’s” pizza, margarita pizza, Hawaiian pizza…you get the drift. Ensure everyone in the family has access to their favorite pizza, and don’t forget about sides such as French fries, onion rings, broccoli bites, and mozzarella sticks. Purchase soda in glass bottles as well—the sugary liquid always tastes better in glass!

Cooking Class

Research nearby cooking classes and see if you can’t 1. Find a family-themed one or 2. Inquire if the class of choice allows children. Have a great time making a delicious new dish together and enjoy it in class or at home.

Game Night

Throw a game night at your house! Break out classics such as Clue, Monopoly, and The Game of Life as well as any other games you and your family want to play. Make it strictly a board game theme or incorporate all types of games. Whatever you decide, you’re in for a fun night at home.

Escape The Room

Do you and your family want to try one of those Escape the Room events? This is a wonderful idea if you have older children, particularly if they’ve already experienced similar events. Escape the Room games allow you to work together as a family to, uh, escape the room!

Are you inspired yet? Regardless of what you choose, remember to have fun!
