Pocket Zooâ„¢ Free – Tiny Hearts

Pocket Zoo by Tiny Hearts is a great animal app for kids. The free / lite version of this app is perfect by itself, but I found myself upgrading after about 30 seconds to the full version, which includes live animal cams from zoos across the world.

The free version of the app includes a zoo map with many animals, click on the animals and you get a photos, facts and sounds from each of the animals. My kids are between 4 and 8 and all of them were interested in this animal app.

I loved the idea of the live web cams of animals, but my kids were less interested. With the live cam you don’t always see the animals, plus the movement tends to be jerky – this might be why the kids were less interested.

I definitely recommend downloading the free version, but the live animal web cam might not be worth it for everyone. I hope that the developer of this app adds more to the paid version of the app, as I think they could be on to a winner with this cute little app.
