The developers have taken a classic story and made it an interactive experience full of awesome illustrations, simple animations, and a pop-up feature that children are going to love. In addition to the story there are two additional activities at the beginning of the app that allow children to customize their avatar image and carve a pumpkin however they choose.

The developers have done a nice job making this app child friendly with simple tap and touch interactive illustrations and easy to use swipe functioning to turn the pages. The overall user interface is quite intuitive and easy for even young children to move through as they read, however the avatar and jack-o-lantern set up in the beginning of the app isn’t all that obvious.
Parents can rest assured knowing that their children can enjoy this classic without worry as there are no advertisements to worry about. There is an option to share the avatar via Facebook, however this option is protected so young children aren’t likely to get into this area. The rest of the app is link free which is great. While it would be nice to have the social media link removed all together, overall this is a great app for kids.
