Review Summary:

Monster Messenger is a fun instant messaging app for kids and their families to enjoy together.  With Monster Messenger, kids can communicate with their friends and family in a safe, creative environment.  I thought that this would be a great option for those parents who want to allow their child to text, but within safe parameters.

The Monster Messenger app is intended to be used by kids like typical “text messaging”.  Parents can share photos, voice messages, drawings or short text messages with their child to let them know they are thinking of them.  Likewise, kids can also safely communicate with family members and their closest friends, and the great part is that parents can validate all invitations received and sent.

With Monster Messenger, kids can share their day through sending photos, drawings, voice and text messages.  There are also lots of fun stickers to share.  I think kids will like personalizing their photos with stickers and text, too.

My favorite part of this app is that it is a kid-safe experience.  I love how the app has full parental control – parents manage their child’s accounts, invitations, have access to their contact lists and can block contacts at any time.  There is a simple one-swipe gesture to report a conversation or to block a user.  The app also features a zero tolerance bullying policy, which is great.  Professionally trained moderators enforce the anti-bullying policy, and make sure content is safe.  All users (kids) personal data is covered by a public privacy policy as well.

I really love the concept of Monster Messenger.  I picture it as a great way for younger kids to keep in contact with loved ones who live far away, I may even start using it with my own son.  I recommend checking this app out if you have close friends and family that live far away, or just if you want to be able to check in with your own kids throughout the day and share love!
