EZVid is a powerful video editing tool that offers many options not usually found in free apps. It includes lots of options including filters, sound effects, framing and bordering, and control of the speed of playback. Developers did a good job of including features that users will enjoy using to customize their productions before sharing on social media or dropping clips into larger works. The app would benefit from a few tweaks, including the ability to pause sound samples without completely shutting down (the pause button doesn’t seem to be working), and perhaps a tutorial or a clear set of directions that instruct users on how to get the most from the system without having to use a lot of trial and error.
This app is not intended to be educational.
While this app is not really intended to be entertaining so much as utilitarian, developers have opened a world of creative possibilities. Using your own videos and adding features such as those offered with this app will boost anyone’s inventiveness and add life to home recorded videos. The sound effects collection is outstanding, and the app also allows users to pull sound clips from their device’s library (though users should be aware of the copyright rules governing use of these things in any work that will be used commercially or displayed publically, such as on video compilation sites like YouTube).
This app is free on the App Store, making it an outstanding value. There are a lot of advertisements, though. An ad is played between many actions that users want to take, and ads are shown in the margins of many pages. There is an in-app purchase option to remove ads for $3.99.
This app shows many outside advertisements and has unprotected in-app purchase opportunities. There is an unprotected connection to email and the app rating system.
