Toddler’s Seek & Find: At the Circus App Review
Toddler’s Seek & Find: At the Circus is a universal app for curious little ones ages 18 months to 4 years old. It is an app that toddlers and preschoolers may ask for again and again.
Unlike another Toddler’s Seek & Find app, My Little Town, which I had the opportunity to review earlier this year, At the Circus is free to download with additional content available through an in-app purchase. Circus Site, an outdoor circus scene, is included in the initial free download. Wild Animals and Daredevil Artists, both indoor circus scenes, are available through an in-app purchase. The purchase for iPad is $2.99 and iPhone is $0.99.
All three scenes are enticingly beautiful; the hand-drawn illustrations in the app instantly draw you in. The incredible amount of interactive objects available for little ones to touch makes them want to stay. Combine the artwork, moving objects, sounds and music and you may think you are at the circus. My tester and I were captivated as we set off as much activity and sounds as we could at one time. Luckily, we had the voice limit option (available in settings) set to on.
The app is easy to use; children can open the scene to start investigating or can use the “What’s Up?” navigational menu which contains thumbnails of different parts of the scene.
In addition to an in-app purchase, At the Circus does contain external links and a social media button; however, they are not available on the main screen, instead are tucked away on menus. Settings are available to control sound, music and the overall volume of the app, as is an option for locking navigation.
Toddler’s Seek & Find: At the Circus is an engaging seek and find app for toddlers and preschoolers; beautifully hand-drawn illustrations and an incredible amount of interactive objects. One scene is free with the initial download; two more available with an in-app purchase.
