What’s not to love about any book narrated by the sonorous voice of actor Sam Neill. But let’s get past that for one minute. This ebook didn’t start off as a book at all, but a kids radio show in the 1940’s / 1950’s.
The story follows Flick, a brave little fire engine who gets left behind at the fire station because he is too small, only to save the day in the end. It’s a story that kids will understand and parents will appreciate – you’re not to small to try to make a difference – and to keep on trying.
The Flick The Little Fire Engine ebook, is beautifully illustrated, wonderfully narrated and includes fun interactive elements throughout. I highly recommend adding this ebook to your preschoolers library.
Features include:
- Read to me
- Read myself
- Highlighted words
- Record your own narration
- Color your pictures
- Interactive elements on the pages
Overall, this ebook app delivers everything you would expect plus more. I will have to ding the app 1/2 star because when you touch a page in the book the story stops and the narration starts from the beginning. Not a huge deal, but very irritating nonetheless.
